The Coal Company is a West Virginia-based custom DIY // learn as you go motorcycle garage created by Caleb Stanley. This blog will serve as a dump for updates on current projects as well as the things that inspire me in the process.

  • CX500 // #02

    This is the CX500 in its current condition. It was purchased from Pittsburgh, PA via Craigslist with a clear title (Fun Fact: the seller’s dad was a pro for the Aston Villa Football Club). The bike has 30,000 miles and runs well considering the age. There are some electrical problems that need to be addressed, the carburetors need re-jetted and the engine could also use an overall refresh. All of which I will be doing in house.
